weekend fun!

We had a great weekend. A little bit of cleaning mixed in with lots of playtime. Saturday me and Mike hung around the house most of the day and got some organizing and cleaning done. After dinner we decided to take Lily to a park we had never been to before, called fun forest. It's a little too big for her.. it's perfect for ages 3 and up... but she still had a blast. she loves to be outside and running around. And of course they had her two favorite things. " eings" and " Ides"

Sunday I worked for a few hours in the morning and then came home and crashed! me and Lily both enjoyed a nice 2 hour nap. And daddy enjoyed some quiet time watching a movie. After that we hung around the house and ran a few errands. We decided around 4 to head to ocean breeze water park for a little while. We went and picked up my niece Madison, who had been with her Nana for the weekend and off we went. The past 2 times we have went, Lily has really opened up. She has been having a BLAST and it's so fun to watch her having such a good time. She did an awesome job on the slides and was non stop giggling the whole time we were there!

I'm sure the poor children thought a whale was flying towards them all day! ha
  Enjoying the slide!

 yayyyy!

Madison going down the drop slides all by her self.
relaxing after a fun filled day.

even Mia had fun! she was kicking up a storm.

hope everyone had a great weekend!

weekend recap

Hope everyone had a good weekend! We had a pretty low key weekend. Friday night Lily had a sleep over at her aunt Danielle's. Me and mike went on a date! It was very nice to have some time together to enjoy a movie, though I missed Lily. This is the 2end time she has ever been some where over night, so it's hard for me to adjust when she is gone. We saw "life as we know it" I loved it. you'll cry, and laugh. perfect movie and is really cute. Mike really enjoyed it too! He said he also almost cried. I think it's the daddy in him now, ha! he's a little more sappy when it comes to things involving babies.

Saturday morning Mike had to work from about 7am to 12ish. So me, my mom, sister and Lily went to a few yard sales. She got tons of new toys and a great solid wood toy box. for only 10 bucks! can't beat that! After Mike came home we had a lazy Saturday. just hung around the house as a family. I really enjoyed it.

Today was an even lazier day. I had to work this morning so when I got home I just played with Lily and mike and we watched some football. Then we took a nice family nap, which I was thankful for because I really needed it!

These are from a few weeks ago. I didn't take any pictures this weekend... but I never posted these. so I figured I would :)

randoms tid bits/ Pumpkin patch

The past few weeks have been exhausting. Both me and Lily were sick. She is still taking antibiotics for her double ear infections. We seriously didn't sleep for 3 days straight. The one night she did sleep was in her swing. Thankfully we are both feeling much better. But then came 4 teeth. She is cutting her 2 top teeth and the 2 next to her bottom teeth. they have really been bothering her. Hopefully those suckers pop through soon.

We also had our first pumpkin patch experience. It didn't go as planned, ha ha. to say it simply
Lily. Hated. It.
She was ok for about 5 minutes while I snapped some pictures, then I wanted to sit her on the ground. That just WASN'T going to happen. she screamed anytime I sat her down after those first 5 minutes.  anytime I took her away from my body she would bunch up her legs and cling on to me. I originally thought maybe something was wrong. Lily likes everything so I was alarmed by her behavior change. Right before we went Lily had her first big accident in her little life. She was standing her her crib, which she is still very wobbly at, she let go and fell back and hit her head on the other side of the crib. Which resulted in the loudest.bang.ever. She didn't even cry. I sure did though. So as I was terrified of a head injury and telling Mike she needed to go to the ER, Mike ( Who is an EMT who knows a thing or 2 about if she really needed to go to the ER or not) said she was fine. She wasn't acting any different the kid just hated hay. He was right she really did just hate hay. even the hay ride wasn't that fun to her. Ha. We are going to try gain in a few weeks. we'll see. after all, she needs a new little pumpkin. My dog, Bailey ate hers. yes, ate it.

here's a few pictures from our
"not what I expected, thought she had a traumatic brain injury the whole time pumpkin patch adventure."

The one picture that she smiled for

 I love this one

"hmm, what's this?"
" Mom! please oh please pick me up off of this terrible hay!"
 On the hay ride
 she liked it.. at first.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Lily's first water park!

Friday Mike and I took Lily to Ocean Breeze water park. This park is close to my heart, This park was where me and Mike met and fell in love six years ago.

2004. Holy cow I was tan.

Lily had a blast! we also brought along my twin sister, and Madison and Dylan. Everyone had so much fun and i'm glad we thought of it. We only went from about 5-7:30 pm it was perfect because it wasn't as hot outside, and the crowds were a little smaller. We spent most of our time in the kiddie section, but mike did go ride some of the bigger rides with Madison. that girl loves her some Jungle Falls.

Lily and Dylan LOVED little amazon. They just sat in the tubes and giggled away.

Having so much fun!

Lily also really loved these little bouncy seat things they have set up...

Me and Mike decided next summer we are going to get season passes. Lily will be between 16-18 months next summer and it'll be perfect to just go for a few hours in the mornings, she'll be running around having a  blast.

My sis and her babies enjoying the pool

cheesy smiles

Can't wait to go back again!

Birthday boy!

I've been a bad blogger. I  haven't kept up with posting. I've been pretty busy between work, Lily Pie and helping My sister  with my nephews birthday. His Birthday was Saturday The 7th ( yes I'm almost a week late!) and I just can't believe he is One! The poor baby wasn't feeling too well. He isn't sick, But he has developed a lactose intolerance. He has thrown up soooo much over the past week. His doctor changed him to soy Formula/ Milk and so far he is doing much better. But because of all the vomiting he has lost a good amount of weight, so now we're trying to fatten him back up. On top of all that, he has to get tubes placed in his ears. After a year of almost constant ear infections, and fluid in his ear, he will hopefully get some relief from the tubes. Anyone have any experience with this? My sister is a little nervous about him getting it done.

Even though he had an upset tummy, He still seemed to enjoy his birthday.

My sweet Dylan, The day he was born
Me and Dylan on his First birthday!!

Lily had a blast at the party. Not only did she look adorable, But she loved all the attention she got! I can't believe she is going to be 6 months old tomorrow!

We had such a fun time!

Holiday weekend re-cap!

We had such a great 4th of July weekend.

Saturday me, mike and my sister went to a friends of ours surprise birthday party. We had tons of fun hanging out and most of them have babies around Lily's age so we had a great time hanging out. Our friend lives in northern VA so we don't see them as often as we'd like.

Not only is Sunday America;s birthday, But it also happens to me my Dad's. My family came to our house this year and we had a mini cook-out and enjoyed Ice cream cake for his birthday. We all chipped in and got him a tour through back bay in kayak's. Him and My mom went today and they really had a good time, I'm so glad he liked his gift!

After Ice cream we packed up and headed to Mt. Trashmore for fire works. We parked close to my work and walked from there. I was so pleased to find that it wasn't too crowded hen we got there. We arrived at about 7:30pm and there was still ton of good spots on the Hill. Lily, Dylan and Madison had a BLAST being out side. The weather was perfect, about 85ish and a great breeze and they loved just laying on the blanket looking up at the clouds.

I just can't believe we got a picture of them ALL SMILING! oh my gosh!

Lily was in a great moos and looked cute as a button in her outfit!

She also was all giggles while we were walking to the park. She much prefers to be riding front and center with daddy, than in her stroller...

Even though she slept through her first fireworks ( I expected this, she is a very scheduled baby and is always in bed by 8:30, so I didn't think she'd make it until the fireworks) We had so much fun and I will always remember her first one! I'm glad my parents, sister and her babies could be with us on this special holiday! And me, mike and Lily had such a great 4th!

Wedding.Birthday.Baby Shower.Anniversary.

Me and Mike have been busy little bee's lately.

On Thursday we went to a friend wedding at botanical gardens. It was beautiful. We had so much fun. We haven't really been out together since miss Lily was born, so we really enjoyed sometime together. It was also Lily's first sleepover, she stayed with my sister and I was so relieved when she did so well!

On Friday it was mine and Danielle's birthday. We went to ocean breeze water park for the day, while my mom watched our babies. Me, Mike and Danielle had a great time. I love swimming, so I was excited to go. We spent the rest of the evening just hanging out, just us 3. Mike is so awesome when it comes to including my twin sister in everything. Her husband is in the navy, and I'm pretty sure in the 5 years they've been married, he has maybe been here for one of her birthdays. We often joke that he sometimes has 2 wives and 3 kids, rather than just me and Lily. Overall we had a great Birthday, and I loved my gift from Mike. He got a video camera, which I've wanted since Lily was born. :)

On Sunday we went to a friend of ours baby shower. I love all things baby, plus she made it a pool party so I was having a blast. Lily loved swimming, and it was SO hot, so I'm thankful for the time we got in the pool.

Today is Mine and Michael's 2end wedding anniversary! Unfortunately we both had to work but we plan to celebrate Friday! I am so thankful the me and mike found each other and I am truly blessed that he loves me the way he does. I fall more in love with him everyday.

We had a pretty busy weekend so now we are settling back into our Monday routine.
Hope everyone is having a great start to the week!

Mike's first Father's day, and Lily rolling over !

Happy father's day to all the daddy's!

I am so blessed to have such an amazing father. My dad had always been there for me, and I know he always will. He hold a very special place in my heart and I am very lucky to call him my dad, and Lily is very lucky to have such a loving grandpa, who makes her giggle all the time. She Lights up when she sees her grandpa and it melts my heart.

Lily is also very blessed when it comes to her own daddy. Mike is a better father than I could have ever asked for. He is so hands on, and is truly and equal partner when it comes to raising Lily.  Since the day she was born, even before that, when I was still pregnant.. me and Lily were always his first priority. He worked over-time for 3 months straight so that I could be on bed rest to keep Lily safe. He is so loving and sweet when he is with her, watching him and her together is the best part of my day. He is a natural born father. His father passed away when Mike was 15, just 2 years before we met. I know Mike loves him so much and I know that his father taught him well. It is so awesome knowing that Lily has another grandpa watching over her. I am so thankful to have Mike in my life.

His first time holding Miss Lily

just adorable!

Mike is looking a little rough here. But it really shows how exhausted we were!
(p.s. isn't she so cute, and tiny!)

There is nothing better than seeing this!

On another note, Lily has hit another milestone! she is rolling over! she had been very close the past week or so but this evening she officially made it over. How exciting!
